Concept UI/UX Designs for PHILIPS integrated TV OS
Brief; Philips is a well-known brand that has been manufacturing televisions for decades. Recently, the company launched a new integrated TV operating system called Smart Home, which is available on its latest smart TV models. The Smart Home OS is designed to make the user experience more intuitive, personalised, and seamless.
Simple Navigation: The UI for Philips Smart Home OS should be simple and intuitive, making it easy for users to navigate and find what they are looking for. The home screen should display a set of curated content recommendations, including TV shows, movies, and apps. Users should be able to easily switch between different inputs, such as cable TV, streaming services, and gaming consoles.
Smart Home Integration
–
Philips Smart Home should integrate with other smart home devices to provide a more comprehensive user experience. For example, users can use their TV remote or voice commands to control their smart lights, thermostats, and other connected devices. The UI should display a list of compatible devices, and enable users to customise their settings.
In addition to providing a seamless viewing experience, Philips Smart Home should enable users to multi-task while watching TV. For example, users should be able to launch multiple apps at once, such as browsing the web or checking email while watching a movie. The UI should display a picture-in-picture view, enabling users to keep an eye on both the app and the TV program they are watching.
To provide personalized recommendations, the Smart Home OS should learn users' preferences based on their viewing habits. The OS should display content suggestions based on users' previous views and likes, and enable users to customize their viewing profiles. For example, users can select their favourite genres, actors, or directors to receive tailored recommendations.
