Scodix print is a printing technique that uses digital enhancement to add texture, depth, and visual interest to printed materials such as business cards, packaging, and marketing collateral. Scodix printing works by adding a layer of clear polymer on top of printed materials, which creates a raised effect that gives the design a unique and tactile quality.
The process of Scodix printing involves using a digital printing press to print the design onto a substrate, such as paper or cardstock. After printing, the substrate is passed through a Scodix machine that applies a clear polymer to the printed surface. The polymer is cured using UV light, which hardens the polymer and creates a raised effect on the surface.
The clear polymer can be applied in different thicknesses and in various patterns to achieve different effects. Scodix printing can be used to create a variety of textures and finishes, including gloss, matte, embossed, debossed, and foil-like effects.
